In good light it was fine but I wasn't happy with the low light shots.  To be sure most of that is user error but in a lot of cases I could get just as good with the kit.  I expect the OSS in the 1650 has a lot to do with it and the Sigma doesn't have it.

Background blur, though better than the kit, wasn't all that impressive either which is why I'm looking forward to the f1.8.

Now take all of this with a grain of salt because I'm a point and shoot upgrader and learning.  The Sigma could be really good in the right hands but not for me.
