Certainly not if you see an opportunity that won't wait!  The prospect of faffing around getting your camera out and adjusted with one hand and fumbling around for a smartphone (hoping it won't take 20 seconds to load the right app) with the other hand!  No thanks - I'll take the camera with articulated screen any time.  Another advantage of the reverse-folding screens such as that on the 70D is their in-built protection from the scratches and scuffs suffered by exposed fixed screens.
