HX:a58 Jpeg Comparison
HX100 wins. Wonder if the HX400 really will have improved IQ based on the new "Bionz X". Where do they get these names?
HX settings: A mode, highest MP, WB auto, Multi metering, Vibrant color, -Saturation, STD Contrast, -Sharpness, -NR, Center AF. HX100 - f5.6, 30x, EV0, 1/125, ISO100. HX200 - f8, 30x, EV0, 1/250, ISO400. HX300 - f5.6, stopped zoom at 30x, EV -0.3, 1/320, ISO200.
A58; DT 55-300 SAM lens, Fine jpeg, Spot AF, Multi metering, Auto WB, DR off, Vivid color, Contrast 0, Saturation -1, Sharpness -1, MFNR ISO400, EV 0.0, F5.6, SS 1/500. PP crop only.
Listed settings for grins. There's so many variables!
Since the sensor is half the size of a ladies little fingernail it would be hard to call any of them bad, but I'd toss up between the 100v and the 200v and come down in favour of the 200.
