XF 27mm lens step-up adapter problems. Solutions?
This is a follow-up from another thread, giving this sub-topic its own thread, and hoping to get more input and potential solutions.
It's been said that the 27mm lens doesn't take step-up rings well as they can interfere with the focusing mechanism. I don't have my lens yet, so can't investigate myself. I was wondering what exactly the issue is, and I would love to hear about solutions.
I plan on using 58mm filters with this lens, ideally with a step-up ring (Heliopan) mounted directly to the lens. It would be acceptable if I needed to put a 39mm filter ring on first, then the step-up ring, if it avoided issues with focusing. For my filters and step-up rings, I'm going all brass.
Many thanks in advance!
