Captive birds from Cape town.

I never try post captive birds as we have an abundance of wild life but I am getting desperate.

Its been very hot here 30c - 40c for the last few weeks . I Have also been pretty busy ( No Hooky ) and have not got out early. In these temperatures you don't get birds as they are not stupid and stay in the shade. Never mind lugging equipment around and getting nailed by the sun. I am going to try and get out very early some time this week and see what I can get.

These birds where taken at Butterfly world. They are all birds that where either donated to the place when they became unfashionable or they have been confiscated due to being protected but can't survive in the wild and now homed here.

Taken with the E-5 and The Sigma 105 f/2.8

The Louries where taken with a manual DTC . Zoom in 1 X and crop.  ( About 25% of image )

Purple Crested turaco Local to Southern Africa and South Africa)

Ross's turaco (Lourie) Central and upper southern Africa.

These I don't have a clue. What they are.

I just like this one.
