According to the explanation in this video at about 4:12, the ergonomic design of the dp2Q was conceived expressly for LCD viewing, which requires holding the camera with arms outstretched in front of the face. 
Potentially disappointing news for those, like me, who prefer to use the external OVF. Add to that the fact that the dp2Q body seems to have lost the traffic light focus signal on the top deck edge next to the hotshoe (which made it possible to confirm focus even in silent mode), and it gets even more depressing.
