Olympus 25mm 1.8 vs. Panasonic Leica 25mm 1.4 for Olympus body (E-M5)

Oly as usual, clinically sharper, while Panny

seems more...err...not sure what it is actually...more pleasing? More 3D? Not sure exactly how you explain it. Creamier, yet still sharp? Though there doesn't seem to be much difference to be honest.

If you take lots of photos of people, I think I would prefer the PL (as I do). If you take lots of photos of buildings, architecture, then the Oly. Of course, if you want to save a little (it's only $100 difference in Canada), have a smaller, lighter lens, then obviously the Oly.

Personally, for the types of photos I would take with the lens, my choice of the PL 25mm was the right one. A little faster for indoor, low light shots and generally used to take photos of people.

But really, you really can't go wrong with either. Both are really good lenses.
