Thanks inthemist for posting. The Nikon looks plenty sharp to me. If I may say so, the images are slightly over sharpened for my taste - the halos are too obvious. However, I see nothing to criticise the lens on. I'd love to see so landscape-distance tests.


Those are SOOC full-size JPEGs having been collected in Lightroom and exported with default settings.

Frankly, I prefer the Sigma, but my main goal of buying the Nikkor was size. I prefer a nice zoom with a 77mm filter at f/8 to f/11 for landscape shots, so I hope someone else will volunteer to provide some landscape shots.

It's more important how an image looks as a thumbnail than how it looks at 100%.
