Which Owl shot is best? Any?

I'm still very much in the learning stages. These were taken last night just after sunset. Which one of the four would you use and why? Feel free to tell me if you think none are worth the time I spent on them but I want to come out of this smarter for next time.

EM-1 and 50-200 plus 1.7x teleconverter

1 and 2 are different crops of the same shutter click

  1. 4x7 crop, owl looking into shot bokeh sky
  2. 5x7 crop, owl looking out of shot bokeh sky
  3. Brown sky
  4. Blue sky

They are all the same bird in the same tree at the same (almost) time. Just different angles.

I'd be interested to learn

  1. What caused the bokeh on 1 and 2 vs 3 and 4
  2. Why brown sky for 3 and blue for 4

Constructive criticism on composition, camera technique, and/or post processing is encouraged.
