How would you describe the "Fuji look" ?

Wow, I'm impressed. The output of the X-E1 is not really the same as my S5 Pro straight out of the camera, and i must admit that i am seeing very different images between the two, and it will sure take some time for me to get used to the X-E1 because the images do look more "digital" in a way. Maybe because it has more resolution.

BUT, last night i was messing around with the X-E1 jpegs at home, and what i discovered is that regardless of how i had the White Balance set to, when i adjust the WB in post processing i get some very INTERESTING colors, even though the WB is completely off, the colors look pretty nice with that older "film look". Is kind of like, i can't go wrong whichever way i leave it at. Well, up to a point it will look bad, but you know what i mean

Although the photos don't look as film looking as my S5 Pro, the XE1 images have an interesting "silky digital smooth" look, with film looking colors that is. I had never seen that before, and i would definitely not see that with a nikon camera, i think.

I haven't used the camera outdoor under plenty of natural light and this weekend i am going to get the chance to do that and can't wait to get some portrait shots to see what this puppy can do.  I am very excited.
