As far as I know the "keep warm" thing only applies to tungsten light situations where you want either the warming effect of those lights (for that romantic look) or cold hard reality of a more shifted white balance.

Try it on/off in both daylight and in tungsten lighting to see what cooks.

By the way, judging colour is a bit pointless unless you have an IPS monitor and it is properly calibrated.
