I disagree here, I like features like eye detect focus. I really liked using the A7 for a portrait shoot. Maybe in some extreme lighting it could be irritating. Sure, you don't get to see a non-digitized version, but you get to see something that is close to what you will get out of the camera.

You have to remember to change the EVF/Monitor mode to show Live View Setting effect to off if your lighting is extreme and you are using strobes.
