I have an A55.  Most used lens is the Tamron 18-270mm.

As for noise, I went to an external mic.  Found a very good one for less from Monoprice.  Looks like a ripoff of the design of much more expensive hot shoe mount mics, but as they say - imitation is the most sincere form of flattery!  

Another consideration - if you must zoom during video, most lenses aimed at the still photo market are not super smooth zooming.  My Tamron sucks dead bunnies in this category.  It is impossible to get a smooth zoom.  Keep this in mind when testing zoom lenses, it does make a difference.  There is only so much you can fix in post.....
