Not meaningless, just a slip of language: it makes the camera better-for-this-person rather than better-absolute.

The only two better-absolute things about the D6x0 is it is a faster camera and a lighter camera than the D800.

The better-for-me attributes include more manageable file sizes, 2xSD slots, and less control/feature clutter for things I do not use.

And let's add the fact that I could afford it... which is the difference between having the camera in hand and looking at it in the store. That's far from meaningless, is it?
