Has Sony matched Nikon 1 AF performance ?
1

Remember last year when Sony signed the cross license agreement with Aptina (developed Nikon 1 sensor).

Sony's new A6000 has a significantly upgraded on-sensor PDAF. Due to a larger sensor it may not be quite as fast but it looks to be way beyond what has been done on APS-C in the past. My bet is that Sony has implemented Aptina patent technology in this latest sensor. We should start seeing this show up in all cameras that source the sensor from Sony, including maybe the next Nikon 1 sensor.

One more nail in the coffin for DSLRs.
