I'm looking to purchase a Olympus 12-40 f/2.8 Pro. I have a E-PM2 body. From what I read, E-PM2, OMD EM-5 and OMD EM-10 all have essentially the same sensor. Would E-PM2 + Olympus 12-40 have comparable image quality as OMD EM-5 or EM-10 + Olympus 12-40? Or should I invest in a new camera body to complement the Olympus 12-40?

That lens is worth owning even if you have no camera

Basically it gets down to how you hold a camera, with a lens like that the left hand holds the lens and body and the right hand does the usual thing.

Any of the 16MP sensors are just great (and all have much the same image quality) compared to the old 12MP sensor.

I find the 12-40mm is fine on my not much bigger E-PL5. Makes a nice combination and the extra bulk and better hand holding makes for less shake problems.

I think maybe the custom made wrist strap is about 80% of the answer though.

Regards...... Guy

I need to make one of those wrist straps for the E-PM2 - the shoulder strap is really overkill. I need that lens too...

ps: There must be some good quick release shoulder straps out there - any tips on some that won't scratch the body?
