dpreview has their first look at the A6000 here.

the preliminary videos of a6k AF in action are pretty impressive:

  • so, the AF seems to work well on a6k+16-50PZ - but... WHICH other E-mount lenses (SEL, but also FF for FF) support the OSPDAF this fast in practice?
  • esp. in longer FLs range?

Even with DSLRs, the lens can really affect the AF speed.  Usually, kit lenses don't fare so well, so I found it amusing that Sony did its tests with the lowly kit lens.  As it happens, I find the 16-50 to be very responsive on the Nex-6, although I can't say that I complain about the 55-210.  I haven't measured it or anything formal, but I do think the longer FL range will take a bit longer to focus, but it still seems much more responsive than when I used it on the Nex-5.

  • as demonstrated, this order of AF speed makes both LA-EA1/3 as well as LA-EA2/4 obsolete (the latter together with all the rest of the SLT technology) - will there be LA-EAx adapters opening/enabling the use of suitably fast A-mount lenses on the a6k and alike bodies?
  • how probable this might be, and if probable, then HOW SOON?

I sure wish this was possible on the current PDAF cameras like the Nex-6, but it was not to be.  An adapter with a screw drive but no SLT mirror should be a bit cheaper than the ones with.  Seems possible...

  • what is the buffer depth on a6k for RAW files (the specs do not list this info)?
  • how many such RAWs can be recorded at 11 fps before the buffer fills up, and there will be inevitable slow down??
  • can a6k hold at least 2-3 seconds worth of RAWs at 11fps?
  • are the a6k RAWs of approx. the same size as from N7 (which means with no lossy compression, like those from A7s cams)?

I guess you could guesstimate the buffer/size questions by using an existing Nex camera.  On my Nex-6, I seem to only get 9 jpegs before it starts to buffer, and with RAW+JPEG it's less, but I'm not sure how much less.  Not that much, surprisingly.  I wonder if a MemoryStick would be better.  I have Sony's 95mbs SD card.

  • as there is no AEL/AFL - AF/MF switch on the back of a6k;
  • IS THERE any other way on N6 type bodies - to take-off AF from half-press of the shutter, and assign it to some other location at the back of a6k??

I'm not sure many of these questions can be answered until people get the A6000 in their hands, but the Nex-6 does have an AEL button on the back.  Typically, AE can also be locked with a half-press of the shutter (unless this is turned off in the Nex-6 menu).  Personally, I usually prefer the half-press method (because I don't need to shift fingers around -- I'm already on the shutter button), and I think this is what I had to use with the Nex-5 anyway, but having the button could be easier to use when you want to refocus but still hold the AE -- it has a good purpose, but it's a bit of an edge-case.

just some impromptu questions from a top of the head, but perhaps there are lots more of unknowns (easier to ask/answer by the current N6 owners, than for N7 ones = mine familiarity with N6 is rather limited at best)
