Nikon D600 : dat green tint?
1

Ken Rockwell and the rest weren't kidding about the green tint. It's neither academic nor subjective: I can reference the PRE WB off a WhiBal card, then take a photo of the WhiBal card, and open the file on my PC to discover that, yes, the red channel of the "grey" color is down 5-10% and everything really does have a green tint, just like it shows in the rear LCD.

I've taken to using a skylight filter A1 on my lenses again, and have adjusted all the in-camera WB settings to A2 (or use -2 tint in ViewNX) to compensate. This brings the results in line with my older Nikon bodies, and with what I feel is a generally natural, realistic color balance.

It's not a huge deal to manage, but you have to wonder why it ships with the defaults like this...
