This isn't limited to Sony. Canon and Nikon FF lenses are, especially for midrange-zooms, slower than their APC equivalents, leaving you wondering what the big advantage is.

Ah, but when you shoot primes, FF turns into a wonderland. A nice F1.4 prime on FF is a wonder.

Yes I was comparing ISO all other variables being the same.

There is the FE55 f/1.8. Not sure if 1.8 vs 1.4 would be that much of a difference. The f/1.8should be as much a wonderland too IMO. And of course you can always shoot in APS-C mode with the same lens in reduced resolution in a FF but not vice versa.
