Help with new lens purchase
No, I'm not begging for money, although it sounds like it...
I found an ad on Craigslist for a brand new 70-200 f/2.8 Canon. It looks very legitimate. It's easy to tell if the box has ever been opened, etc.
I would love any advice at how to quality test this lens. I can set my camera up in a room at my office with lighting and a tripod. I know I can set up a focusing target, but I don't know how to test for centering or other flaws. I would appreciate any advice, as this is a $2,000 purchase and I don't want to make a mistake.
Thanks for any advice in advance.
Please forgive my typos. I often post from my phone, and it is difficult to edit mistakes after I post.
