D200 at ISO1600 Under Stage Lighting

I've only just plucked up the courage in the last few weeks to shoot my D200 (in my regular assignment under stage lighting) at up to ISO1600.

What's more, I have also been using Auto ISO to 1600. Scarey (for me) since I have never used Auto ISO.  I have to play a merry dance on the EV Comp wheel, though because the stage lighting is not very consistent.

I'm really just experimenting - I had complaints about the shutter sound form my D700 and the D200 is definitely quiter, while the D700, pictorially, is definitely crsiper.

Note: this would not work with kit lenses - I cannot even use my good f2.8 zooms.  Instead, I am using a 50 and 85 f1.8D lens at f2.0

Processed in Silkypix DSP5 from RAW (as always) - lifted 1EV in processing; no other adjustments
