Olympus Imaging's prospects improve
I found this encouraging for all with Olympus DSLR's and mFT's:
and Olympus' official report on financials:
The E-M1 clearly has given them a boost and, combined with major reductions in compact inventory and the introduction of the entry level E-M10, it looks like they're turning the corner from the tide of red ink of recent years.
Maybe if things continue like this maybe they'll even throw a bone to 4/3's users with an E-M7 to reinvigorate HG and SHG lens sales. The E-M1 is almost identical to the E-xxx line in size and weight, so why not an E-Mx on a diet, size between the K-3 and 70D, to better support HG/SHG lenses?
Likely just a daydream, but fun to speculate nonetheless.
