I can manage

It just gets in the way. Once many years ago I nearly lost my head when a stage diver managed to get an arm inside my strap on the way down. Pretty much gave them up after that. A few instances of shoot-from-the-hip street.
Loved using a hand strap on my 1dsII, but never got around to buying the portrait grip I'd need to use one on my 6d and 7d.
Amazed at people who don't have the dexterity to change lenses without a strap. If I can change lenses in the dark with people bouncing off me at a punk show you should be able to manage it in peaceful daylight, sheesh.

I can manage changing lenses in the dark without a strap too. I just choose not to. You know why?

Risk is risk. No matter how small you think it is, do you really want to take it? Do you actually like chasing after warranties and insurance claims?
