Re: Best all-around D800 Lens

As others have already pointed out, the answer to your question is very subjective and thus depends largely on what type of subjects you shoot most or at any given time. Right now I am using my D800 mostly for bird and wildlife photgraphy and keep my AF-S 80-400mm G f4.5-5.6 lens on it constantly as it is the best all-around lens for me at the moment. During the summer months I'm likely to have my 24-70 f2.8 on it most of the time as I will be shooting landscapes with family event photos thrown in. If you can afford only a single lens, this is the one, like many others who have responed, that I'd recommend.
