It would cost them very little and get them a lot of good will. Many manufacturers would do that - and indeed NZ consumer law would require them to do so if they were unable to fix it.

Of course, if it IS within tolerance then what you are really complaining about is their poor (to your eyes) tolerance, not the camera unit!

In that case, I'd switch to Canon....!

Well it has newer responses than that...! And seems to have been resurrected in numerous other threads pretty recently.
