Variable zoom speed on bridge cameras?
Does anyone know of any bridge cameras (x40 optical zoom or more) where you can get variable zoom speed or a smooth manual zoom? The reason is that I'm looking for a bridge camera to mainly use to video but also to photo sports (Equestrian show jumping). Hence I need to have the variable zoom speed so it looks smooth and nice on the video when following the subject. Or alternatively a manual ring zoom which runs smoothly. I've got a Sony HD camcorder and it is just too slow. Slow start up. Slow starting recording and slow stopping recording. Also I miss having a proper viewfinder (and not looking on a LCD screen) so I thought bridge cameras would be the solution. Any views on this? Also disadvantages on using bridge cameras welcome. Oh, 1080/60p is preferably needed for the video.
I would be very grateful for any insight.
