"What is a Photograph"

Is the title of a new show at the International Center of Photography

http://www.icp.org/museum/exhibitions/what-is-a-photograph

And a New York Times story here

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/26/arts/design/with-cameras-optional-new-directions-in-photography.html?nl=todaysheadlines&emc=edit_th_20140126&_r=0

After reading and coming from film base I think a "photograph" is a tangible, tactile image on paper base that you can touch and hold as an entity unto itself.

I think digital, which I use everyday, when left in its electronic form, is image acquisition.

But the answer remains unanswered as stated in the article
