Why not ? What else could it be ? The 1/250 is almost perfect but if you pay close attention, you will notice a dark strip at the bottom. If you are shooting dark subjects it won't appear but if you are shooting white walls, and the flash makes a big impact, you will.

Doh! But how do you set more granular shutter speeds like 1/160th or 1/180th? Why even talk about 1/180th as being the highest sync speed when you can't set it, unless it only applies to the camera setting it automatically?

Canon 6D, Canon 50D, Canon 100 f2, Canon 100-400 IS, Canon 50 1.4, Canon 24-105mm IS, Canon 70-200mm f4 IS, Mamiya Sekor 55mm 1.8, Vivitar 135mm 2.8, Tamron Pro 1.4TC, Speedlite 430EX, Feisol 3402 + Giotto ballhead.

Set the dial to 125 or 250 and use the left and right arrow buttons on the back to fine tune it.

FYI, Fujifilm added a 180 position to the X-E2 (and X-T1) to make this easier.
