photo: The Runner (Summicron-R 90mm)
I bought the Sony A7 as a "one size fits all" digital body for Leica R and Nikkor SLR lenses.. Mostly for Leica R. First photo to post ...
Reviewing the body briefly: The sensor is terrific, the camera a little odd and uneven in its design and implementation but it works well enough, the lenses ... OMIGOD ... The Summicron-R 90/2 and Summilux-R 50/1.4 are such a good match to the sensor. They have imaging qualities just like they do on film when shooting with the Leicaflex SL.
Very pleased. My goal in buying the camera has been realized.
Now to learn some of the other details about this camera's disorganized, messy menu and control system. It's not as bad as all that once you get it sorted, but Sony really should hire a photographer or two for when they are designing control ergonomics on their cameras.
Thanks for looking! Comments always appreciated.
