New 70D - Starting Image Number
I received my new 70D a week ago and went out a couple of times to shoot some photos.
While I was out I didn't pay attention to the image count.
When I go home and loaded them onto my PC, I noticed that the count started at just over 5300.
I know my T2i started at just about 0001 when I got it.
I made my purchase from a very reputable store.
Is there any reasonable explanation for this?

A bit more background.
I used the same card starting the 70D that I had used a day or two earlier in my old T2i.
I formatted the card but don't remember in which camera.
When I looked back at the last images taken on the T2i the number is around 5200.
Is there any way the number on the images on the card (if I actually formatted the card in the 70D) could set the counter in the 70D?

Or maybe the question should really be, is there any way to read the actually picture count on the camera?
