When I shoot around 20 pictures I can feel the camera getting heated at the right bottom corner of the screen. Just below the cursor button. The effect is so fast and when shooting video situation is even bad.
To conclude, 2 main issues are:
Battery backup
Heating issue

Bought my D7100 the day it was released to the public. I've shot with it for hours at a time since then. While the D7000 may be better, power consumption wise, it's easy for me to get 1000+ images on one charge with the D7100. I have a battery grip, but only install 1 battery at a time, and never carry another. I've experienced no heating issue.

The D7100 is easily the best camera I've owned, and I've had some great ones.
