I'm not sure I understand the complaints about A7 JPGs

This is at ISO 5000, SOOC. Is there some detail loss? Of course! It's ISO 5000! But the result is a very pleasant image that preserves quite a lot of detail, including the fingerprints on bottles. I'm actually very pleased to be able to get a nice result like this from a very casual shot taken under weak lighting, with the kit zoom, and very little attention paid to anything. This was really a point-and-shoot shot.

Can someone comment on what they're finding objectionable in JPGs like this?

BTW, this is the JPG the camera produces in RAW + JPG mode. I have no idea whether this is quality level being discussed, or if it's normal or fine from JPG only shooting. If you know, please add this information to the thread.
