I like 'em a lot

I've posted about the VSCO profiles several times on this forum - when they have sales, introduce new film packs or add support for Olympus cameras to existing packs. There are currently 4 packs of VSCO film presets, and support for Olympus cameras has been added to all but the 1st one. I expect and hope that they'll add support to the remaining pack in the near future.

I was first turned on to VSCO by this set of (E-M5 + 45mm f/1.8 and 12-35mm f/2.8) images taken in Sri Lanka. VSCO sort of fell off my radar for a while after that, but I jumped on a sale a few months later, then ended up buying all 4 sets. I admit, I don't really have an eye for fine-tuning colors, white balance, clarity, saturation, etc., and the VSCO film packs allow me to try a bunch of different looks quickly.

Most of the images I've uploaded to my gallery over the past 8 months have had VSCO presets applied to them.

I like 'em. I feel that they help me save time processing my images, and allow me to easily give an attractive and relatively uniform look on an entire set of images quickly.

A few examples from my gallery:

I have also used and liked the DXO film emulation packs, but found the DXO Pro interface to be way too clunky in comparison to LightRoom (which is by no means perfect), and I found it to be too much trouble to perform most of my editing in LightRoom, then export to DXO for final touches, including applying film emulations. VSCO film emulation presets yield results that I like, all without having to leave LightRoom.
