D5100 macro's - what decent macro lens to buy??

Hi all, I bought my first SLR last week and desided to play around a bit. I got the nikon D5100 with the kit 18-55mm VR lens. Attached are a few macro shots taken with the 18-55mm lens only, and two sunset photos. Oh, the fly on the pink flower was captured using a raynox D250.

My question is : Is there a decent, cheap macro lens that I can buy out there? And how does the extention lenses compare to macro lenses? I know Phottix have go a Auto 3 lens extention kit. I dont like the thin focus line that the Raynow D250 create. Is there some way around this?

PS, I am still new with my SLR, and I know some of the shots have got a soft focus (specially the two with the bugs caught in flight) , but keep in mind, this was shot with a 18-55mm lens. Photos are 50% cropped and resixed to 1600pixles

I live my life one photo at a time, for that 10 seconds or less, I am free.
