Canon 550D/T2i with 15-85mm for travel or go mirrorless?

Hi,

I currently have a Canon 550D/T2i which I've had for a few years. I travel quite a lot and always use it with the 15-85 lens (24-136). The lens does a nice wide angle and enough on the zoom side for 90% of my uses. I also carry in my backpack a Canon S100 which is obviously a lot more pocketable. The only problem I have is the weight involved and the fact I'm seeing more and more mirrorless cameras etc on the market now. Should I stick with what I have or make a change?

What I like:

- The range of the lens is wide enough and long enough
- the video has 24fps on both my cameras

What I dislike:

- the weight of the camera and lens

What I would like:

- smaller and lighter alternative
- similar range lens
- better image quality?
- 24fps video with autofocus and possibly a faster fps 50-60 Full HD option?

I've had a look at Olympus EM-5 and EM-1, Panasonic GH3, Sony Nex 6 or 7 or Sony A7?

Basically has anyone got any advice on whether I should stick with my two camera and one lens combination or look for an alternative?

Everything I looked at seemed to lose out in one department or another over my current setup due to one reason or another... wrong zoom range, lower video quality and so on...

Anything options worth considering?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
