I concur with the others, I'd hold off on a new body and instead invest in a F1.8 (35, 50 or 85) or a 50 F1.4 as those are all around $500 or less and will work on newer bodies too. Many are hoping for a new DX Nikon camera this year that would be a significant upgrade to the D90, D7100, being a successor to the D300. The D90 is still awesome and I'd wait to see what comes in the next few months in terms of bodies.
