Thanks for the feedback!

All of the original shots I posted were straight OOC shots with no post processing.

I took the feedback and tweaked up the shots a bit in Elements, and changed the 3rd shot to the prior pic where the feet weren't chopped off.

I think the under exposure aspect of the shots is fairly easy to resolve with post tweaking, as is cropping of course.

Can anyone share their thoughts on which autofocus mode is best to use for this type of photography? The D5300 has up to 39 points, but I believe I picked the 9 point setting for these shots.

Would single point center focus give me faster and better results?  I'm using the burst mode while shooting.
