Olympus 25mm f/1.8 images and price

CaNikon 50mm f/1.8 aren't sharp wide open

You have to stop down those CaNikon lenses to f/4 to get decent results.

Plus, they are very simple lenses to make with no special elements. The Canon use only 5 elements in 6 groups.

The Panasonic 25mm f/1.4 use UHR elements and nano surface coating, 9 elements in 7 groups. The Olympus 45mm two E-HR elements and  9 elements in 8 groups.

The Olympus 25mm is likely to be more complex that the Nifty-Fifty.

And most important : they are all sharp wide open.

Speaking about the price, The Nikon 50mm f/1.8G (which I own) is 239$, and the Olympus 25mm will probably sell for 299$. Not a huge difference in my book.
