What does "weather sealed" mean?

While it is true that none of the Canon EF-S lenses are sealed, there are plenty of EF sealed 'L' lenses.   Some (like 70-200 f/2.8L) are fully sealed.   Some (like 16-35 f/2.8L) require a clear 'Protect' filter to complete the seal.

Again, those seals will protect against rain, snow, or airborne dust.   But they don't make the camera submersible.

I would have no qualms using a 5D MkIII + EF 70-200 f/2.8L II IS USM in a shower. But I would not try dunking it in the tub.
