Western Skies Moon SX50
According to the moon charts, this moon was supposed to be full and directly overhead at my location at 10:53PM yesterday(I was sound asleep). I took this image some 5 hours later so it had moved across to the western skies. It did seem to be a very bright moon,I guess from the clear skies as the stars were quite visiable as well. I did some post processing to tweak it and remove the typical grayish yellow color cast. I'm guessing here but it looks like the smaller craters are all positioned at the top of the image. I hope to get a better shot in a a few days when the moon is less full(there's a name for that, smile, but I don't know what it is) ).anyhow here's my artificial moon. What do you think the white spec's are, dust maybe????
