I’ve just finished reading a fifteen day user report on the K3 featured in the French magazine ‘Réponses Photo’. The journalist makes two remarks which will interest you. The 24 mp sensor is quite demanding when being used with lenses which may not optically perfect. The 18-55 mm and 55-300mm should particularly be avoided. Better to use fixed lenses or higher quality zooms.

That's really only true if you're pixel-peeping at 100% view. My advice: stop pixel-peeping at 100% view!

Yes , but there is pixel-peeping and there is pixel-seeing. I have a K5 Silver 16mp and I sometimes edit an image by zooming into it.  I might then print this image, A4 or A3 depending on the quality of the image.  If I had a K3 24MP I would certainly do the same, but no doubt zoom further into my pixels.  For me it's clear that you cannot cheat on the quality of your camera's eye.   If you buy a 1300 euro body you have to buy the best lens possible.

But perhaps for a lot of people out there this isn't an issue.  But then those people probably don't read these forums........
