I haven't tried the Fuji X100s but had the previous version.

The X100 was a delight to use but it was just that little bit to big as a carry everywhere camera.

Then I tried the Ricoh GR. Everything about the camera is perfect.

It's size, feel, build quality and menu layout etc.

The X100 went and the GR travels with me constantly unless I "need" to use my X-Pro 1

Kind regards,

Wayne.

I agree with you.  The X100s is a fantastic camera, I really enjoyed it when I had it, but now that I have the GR, it's even better for my needs.

There are a few reasons I would say to get the X100s over the GR.

- If you're heavily invested in the X system and want the consistency between files to process, then the X100s is the one to get.

- If you need the OVF/EVF then there's no option.

Otherwise I'm as happy or more with the GR.  Just seems to respond better, the LCD is superb, the snap focus is great, and the price is 1/2 what the X100s is.

If I do go back into the X system with the upcoming XT-1, I may give the X100s another look.
