Why isn't there more of a buzz on the S1?

I'm surprised there isn't more talk here about the newly announced Fuji S1 superzoom, and this from someone not yet a Fuji user (may change soon).

The S1 is the camera the still not even announced Canon SX60 should be, checking off all the boxes for improvements I'd hoped for in an SX50 replacement:

  • faster f2.8-5.6 24-1200mm lens
  • 5-axis IBIS (same as in my E-M5)
  • hi-res EVF
  • hi-res 3" articulated LCD
  • weather resistant body
  • 16MP BSI-CMOS sensor
  • $499 MSRP

My only issue is it's larger and heavier than the SX50:

  • SX50: 4.84 x 3.43 x 4.17″ and 1.3 lb
  • S1: 5.24 x 3.58 x 4.33″ and 1.5 lb.

Hopefully it has better DR as well. I'll be very curious to see test results comparing their IQ, Canon somehow having discovered the secret sauce in the SX50 of excellent image color and detail combined with a great IS system, making it very usable hand held at 1200mm. Some samples:

Here are some links to images and info on the S1:

I love my E-M5 and 75-300mm (150-600mm at 35mm equivalence) zoom for nature shots, but the thought of 1200mm reach in a camera featured like the S1, which is also quite a handsome design, really intrigues me.

Others? Come on, can't have an Olympus guy crowing about a Fuji camera on his own, let's hear some noise !
