What would it be?

FX format. Travel/landscape photography it would help if you can keep it a bit light, with family/friends events on the side when called upon a few times per year but prints un-needed a mixture of outdoor and indoor poor lighting group stuff like we encounter with them, birthdays, New Years, Christmas etc. Zooms or primes, up to you but you can only select 3 lenses ok maybe 4 at a stretch.

I'm really happy with the following:

24-120mm f/4 VR (does everything fairly well, a lens you can leave on the camera almost all the time)

35mm f/1.4 (perfect for indoor low light shots)

85mm f/1.4 (great anywhere that you have the room to use it)

For the mix of day-to-day, travel, events, studio portraits, and outdoor portraits my wife and I do, this pretty much covers it all. I can get it all in one smallish bag too. If you wanted the lightweight version, get the f/1.8 versions of the primes.

If I'm adding a fourth lens and not looking to do sports, I'd add the 105mm f/2.8 VR Micro which I sometimes put in the bag in lieu of the 85mm lens.
