+ Business Cards

Get some good quality business cards made with your contact details (phone, email, website)

Create a website with your own domain and post some of your work there (I use SmugMug)

That works in most cases. I suspect that in cases where it doesn't work, a professional membership card wouldn't either. The website gives you some credibility; the card (with contact details) gives some reassurance.

Business cards may be the easiest. Consider how the card presents your work. Do you want to emphasize artistic work, or edgy street? You can even include a small image on the card to match your theme. With a link to a site, you establish some degree of accountability and transparency. You might even come up with more than one theme for the business cards depending on what kind of shooting you are doing at the moment.
