A7r: Which 135mm lens - Sony Zeiss F1.8 or Zeiss APO F2?

They are close to the same price. The APO is newer and probably a little better, although I have not seen any comparisons.

Here's my guess at pros:

Pros for the F1.8:

- Auto-focus, with face detection (but not eye-AF) with the LA-EA4

- Slightly faster

- Less expensive ($2122 vrs $1798 at B&H)

Pros for the F2 APO:

- A little smaller and lighter, with less bulky and lighter adapter

- APO, so less to no CA

I think I'd like the AF and face detection, as I'd like to do fairly wide open portraiture with it, but I don't want to sacrifice very much in IQ.

I'm also wondering if Zeiss will come out with a version of the APO for the FE mount....  That would be more tempting.  I'm guessing it will be years before we the Sony Zeiss F1.8 for FE mount.

I'm disappointed that DxO does not rate or even list the F1.8 lens.  I've read that it's perhaps the best alpha lens out there.

Your thoughts / advice / helpful links?
