Probably the best pocket camera you can get
There is pretty little to complain about this camera and the image quality speaks for itself. The lens is almost perfect with no or little CA/purple fringing. It is a slight wave distortion that can be seen if shooting some straight lines, but this can be fixed in post (LR and C1 have presets).
High ISO is one of the best I have seen in any camera I have owned and is pretty much clean up to ISO6400 so shooting with the full Auto ISO range (200 to 6400) is absolutely no problem at all.
The AF in daylight is very fast and even in dark fast enough for normal shooting. Manual focus is also much improved compared to the previous model with focus peeking or electronic split image. Also the endless turning is gone because if you move the focus ring fast it well move the focus fast.
Fixed is also the exposure wheel that is now much more stiffer and less likely to be changed accidentally. The strap hooks also got more robust, but I stopped using strap hooked straps since I worn out the hooks on my old Fuji.
Menu system got a final overdo and is now at the current X line level. This also includes that Auto ISO settings in the ISO menu and not in a different sub menu.
Some minor negative points are the battery usage which is much higher compared to any DSLR. It is recommended to get at least one or better two spare ones. The other is that the new Quick menu button replaced the RAW button which was user set able in the previous version and that the Quick menu cannot be customized. Fuji should take an example from Ricoh for how to do camera menus, actually any camera maker should do that.
If the lens hood is used it will block the flash, so an external flash is recommended if flash is needed.
My wishes for the next version (or software update) would be fixed focus settings like the Ricoh has for better snap shooting and that when I full press the shutter from wake up that it actually takes a picture and not only wakes up the camera.
