Or do we just have a bumper crop of smart alecks this year?

Yes there are apples and pumpkins out there.

For a person who becomes interested in photography, there are many choices.

A buyer gets a lot of capability for a low price from an intro DSLR for the same weight.

Image quality wise there is nothing wrong with a D3300.

A $500 DSLR is practically disposable. My D3X has depreciated $1000 a year.

While I have an EM1 and an EM5, I think a lot of folks would pick the DSLR.

They do.   Just look around when out there.

I'm just speculating, of course, but those of you who seem to know it all could just compare sales figures and see how MFT compares with DSLR.

Why would I do that, when I'm perfectly happy with OM-D's in hand?   I know the FF experience, not interested, not feeling threatened by them, not living in fear that this format will tank, not distracted by FF or DSLRs gear or sales figures, not at all.

Sure, players might fold, the format might be overtaken by something else eventually. . .  I might also get cancer or kidney stones, get hit by a bus, might get mugged or killed for a Billingham full of m4/3.     What will be will be.

There's a lot of FUD being put out there too about formats, manipulating the manipulable.
