maybe change fonts with custom CSS?
1. Zoom Text Only?

An Android app is available to do this, perhaps only in the mobile version of Chrome.

2. Does Chrome have a setting for overriding sans-serif font with serif font? Firefox allows the user to override all fonts explicitly set with a given user-specified font.

Apparently not. Found this feature-request thread started in 2008, finally answered in 2011 with a statement that Chrome "UI leads" do not feel this is an important feature.

The Times Roman serif font that Chrome displays upon CSS request (Windows only, not Android) is surprisingly ugly. Although other better-looking Windows fonts can be CSS selected.
