Problem with Olympus OMD - EM1

I have the Olympus OMD EM1 which I bought for shooting portraits in the studio. Yesterday on my first shoot I found myself with a problem I do not know how to solve:-

I shoot on Manual mode, 125 speed, F2.0, 100 ISO  with studio flashes.

The problem I find is that the screen goes dark as  the exposure for the ambient light in the studio should be much greater. When I shoot the pictures, they are well exposed with the Studio flashes but I can hardly see my model on the camera screen.

I imagine there must be some way of being able to look at my model even though the settings on the camera are very underexposed with respect to the ambien light.

I also have the Panasonic GH3 and this does no happen.

I would really appreciate any advise as how to solve this problem.

Many thanks

Jorge King

P.D. excuse my bad english!!
